About the event

Our "Flex to Homeownership" program, in collaboration with Black Label Access and Eden + Co Realty, offers comprehensive workshops designed to empower families on their journey to homeownership. These informative sessions, which last four hours each and are held over two consecutive Saturdays, provide essential knowledge and tools to navigate the home-buying process successfully. Certificates are issued at the end of the class and are good for one (1) year.

These workshops will be split into two consecutive Saturdays (4 hours each). Please note that you must complete both sessions on their scheduled dates.

Session One (Home Buyers Process):

Held On The First Saturday, This Session Equips You With Crucial Insights Into The Home Buyers Process

  • Mortgage Loan Process: Understand the steps involved in securing a mortgage.
  • Credit Reporting: Learn how your credit score affects your buying options and how to improve it.
  • Finding a Home: Tips on choosing the right home for your needs.
  • Home Insurance: Importance of insurance and how to choose the right coverage.
  • Home Inspections: What to look for during inspections and how to address potential issues.
  • Downpayment Assistance: Explore various programs that can help you with the initial costs.
  • Sustainable Homeownership: Tips on maintaining a home sustainably, focusing on energy efficiency, water conservation, and minimal environmental impact.
  • Legal Aspects of Home Buying: Essential legal considerations, including contracts, title searches, and the closing process.

Session Two (Financial Security):

The Following Saturday Focuses On Long-Term Financial Stability After Purchasing Your Home:
